JP Reis attended the Six Nations Dinner at Battersea Evolution in support of the Matt Hampson Foundation. Being a rugby event, it was well-supported despite being the coldest night of the year.
Our company, and especially its co-founders Greg Collins and Garry O’Sullivan, have supported Matt Hampson since the very early days of his campaign. We have been regular attendees at the Six Nations event and once sponsored Jason Robinson’s team against the Hambo All-Stars in a charity match hosted by Leicester Tigers. During this time Matt’s focus has evolved from securing his own self-reliance to setting up a foundation that rebuilds the lives of young people who have suffered life-altering injury or illness.
The new flagship Get Busy Living Centre near Leicester is on the point of going live now and thanks to spectacular fund-raising events like the Six Nations Dinner, many more people will be helped. In the absence of Greg, who is recovering from hip surgery, our table was hosted by David Hamilton. Our old friend Garry was welcomed back among other guests who had a splendid evening. Jonny Gould’s inimitable turn as auction host is always a highlight of the night and David successfully bid for a unique golfing package that will see him play various prestigious courses with a host of rugby royalty. It’s a great cause, David sees it as a “win, win” and we’re sure he’ll enjoy it!
